I hope everyone has a relaxing 5th of July after all the madness and fireworks from the 4th. I hope everyone had a fun time celebrating our nation's independence. I know I did. During the afternoon we went to the lake and went tubing and swimming. I haven't done that in in who knows how many years. After that we headed back to the cousins house to get cleaned up just to go out and sweat again. :) We went to some land a friend of my uncle owns and had a cookout and fireworks. Here are a few scenes...
Mind you, these fireworks were bing shot off a mere 50 yards away, if even that. It was a bit scary, but fun! Apparently the guy who brought all the fireworks owns a fireworks stand, so we had the big guns.
That would be me holding my sparkler as my brother flings his around in circles and the sparks fly at me and my mom tries to take a picture. Oh what a great picture that makes, right? As this is going on, I have fireworks going off to the left of me, in front of me, and in all the yards surrounding us. It was definitely mass caos at this moment, plus the additional spark burn on my precious legs. Ouch!Apparently only 4 boxes of this set of fireworks has been sold in Texas. This is one of them. It's definitely a pricey one. I think they said it was $270. The video does not even come close to the full effect of this thing.

I just love fireworks! Too fun. This is the first year I was somewhere where they were legal for inviduals to set off, so they were going off everywhere as well as the local fire dept. put on a show. It was fun. Glad you had a fun day too!
