Potty Time

Many of you may have noticed that I frequently get up to use the restroom. As far as I can remember, that has been normal for me but I always knew that going 12-16 times a day was not normal. I've talked to my doctor about it several times and he put me on a trial medication for a common problem. If that didn't help, he recommended I go to a urologist. It didn't work. Finally, about 6 months later I made an appointment. Obviously I'm used to it, so I wasn't too speedy about it.

I found a lady and made an appointment. She was listed at Presby Plano and Presby Dallas. You would think that when I made the appointment (and called the number listed under the Dallas location) that they would verify where she was. This Tuesday I drove from Denton to the Dallas office and arrived 30 min before my scheduled appt, called them to verify what building they were in and came to find out she only saw patients in Plano! Thanks for telling me! Anyways I couldn't reschedule my appt because I had other things to do that day and I didn't want to drive out another day. Luckily she still saw me. I get there about 10:45, which is 15 min after my scheduled appointment, had an awful time parking and then actually finding her office (because I forgot the suite number). I filled out paper work and finally saw her half an hour later. It was very rushed; most likely because I was late. I felt so bad about it. It's so unlike me. They did a sono of my bladder (normal) and one of those fun "down there" exams. After all was said and done, she said "I don't know why you are so weird but you are way too young to be this yucky. I'm not doing anything until I know what is up with your bladder" It kinda made me giggle. She is having me do Urodynamics. You can look it up. I'll do that next Friday (the 23rd) and have a follow up appointment the following Friday. Hopefully I finally find out what the heck is wrong with me and that it's nothing too serious.

Oh yea, and I get the joy of doing Kegel exercises! Ha! Did you know that these were common bladder irritants (besides the normal ones we know like coffee, tea, caffeine)?
